Keepsake Art Journal
June 25 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm CDT
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until June 25, 2019
Starting with file folders and some clever cutting and folding, you will create a small journal with some tabs, pockets, fold-out pages, and more. Using a variety of painting, collage, and doodling techniques, you will fill your pages with various mementoes and treasures that have meaning for you. Most supplies and materials will be provided, and you will want to bring along some papers and pictures that are special to you. These can be photographs, copies of photos, tourist brochures, business cards, menus, etc. Your journal will be a personal keepsake for you. It can be about a favorite vacation spot, someone special in your life, alive or deceased, a pet, or pretty much anything you’d like to remember in this creative way. This is also a great opportunity to write a little story book for a favorite person in your life. The instructor will have a lot of materials to choose from, but if you want to make it personalized, bring some of the following items: ? Copies of photographs ? Papers in someone special’s handwriting ? Buttons, charms, items that have special meaning ? Papers torn from magazines that have attracted your attention ? Post cards ? Tourism brochures ? Business cards ?
