The Department of Corrections is championing the Minnesota Rehabilitation Act (MRRA) in this legislative session. The policy reform will both better prepare incarcerated people to rejoin their communities and the workforce, and save Minnesota taxpayers up to $10 million per year, once fully implemented.
Commissioner Paul Schnell, Department of Corrections, will provide an overview of this innovative four-point proposal and an update on Minnesota Corrections at the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s virtual Listen & Learn event on Monday, April 26 from 12 – 1 pm.
