WHAT: “The Red-headed Woodpecker Recovery Program – Who Are We and What Do We Do?”
Jerry Bahls, long-standing board member and past president of the Minneapolis Audubon Chapter, will be presenting on the Red-headed Woodpecker research the special committee has done. As a founding member of the Red-headed Woodpecker Recovery Program Jerry’s knowledge, appreciation and concern for this species is great! Jerry will give a brief history of the Red-headed Woodpecker Recovery (RhWR) background on the organization and an introduction of their new structure. He will also discuss previous research as well as last year’s research. Finally, a brief picture into the future will also be given and how the new organization will get more volunteers involved all over the region, which means you can get involved, too!
