Looking for fun and free things to do in Alexandria, Minnesota this summer? Don’t miss the Summer Concert Series—a long-standing community favorite hosted by the Red Willow Arts Coalition on the lawn of the Douglas County Courthouse in downtown Alexandria.
From late May through August, enjoy live music in Alexandria, MN every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. These outdoor concerts feature a wide variety of musical styles—something for every taste and age group. The evening wraps up by 8:30 PM, with a short break for community announcements and a free-will donation. Bring your own lawn chair!
The Summer Concert Series has become one of Alexandria’s most popular social events. Families, couples, and friends gather on the courthouse lawn to enjoy music, picnics, and warm summer nights. Popcorn and water are available for purchase from local youth groups. Please note: the courthouse lawn is a smoke-free and alcohol-free venue, making it a safe and inviting space for all ages.
In the event of rain or severe weather, concerts will be moved indoors to the Alexandria Area High School Performing Arts Center. Cancellations or location changes will be announced by 2:00 PM on KXRA and KIKV radio stations, on Facebook, and on our official website.
