SUMMARY:Drop Off Days for the DCHS Scarecrow Contest
DESCRIPTION:⏰ It’s time—our annual Scarecrow Contest is just around the corner\, and you could scare up first place this year! It’s never too early to start planning your entry!\n💸 Participation is $10 per scarecrow\, with prizes paid out to the 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place entries (determined by public voting.)\n🍁 Scarecrows may be of any theme\, construction\, materials\, etc with the conditions that they are display-ready and family-friendly. Ten metal posts are available on a first-come first-served basis on the south lawn\, which is exposed to weather including wind and potential snow.\n🍂 Scarecrow drop-off/set-up days are October 13-16 and 19-23\, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on business days\, and voting will take place October 26 – Nov 1.\n🛠️ Participants are responsible for setting up their own scarecrow on the lawn.\n☑️ Instructions on how to vote for your favorite will be announced once scarecrows are in place!\n🔎 Do you have questions\, or are you interested in entering the 2026 contest?\n📞 Contact us via phone at 320-762-0382\n📧 Email us at historic@dchsmn.org

We will then return to the church for a light supper and a message from guest speaker Nikie Roen\, a survivor of domestic violence. \nThe event is free and open to the community. We invite everyone to join us in standing together to raise awareness\, support survivors\, and take a stand against domestic violence.
