DESCRIPTION:Join the Douglas County Historical Society on Saturday\, July 18\, 2026 (12-5 p.m.) for the 2026 Alexandria Historic House Tour! \nThis self-guided tour through some of Alexandria’s most historic properties will invite guests to visit local residences and businesses to learn about the rich history of the city and its residents\, and display some of the ways we’re keeping local history alive. On the morning of the tour\, ticketholders will receive a packet with a tour map\, location information\, and even recommendations from our generous local dining sponsors so attendees can refresh and get a bite to eat* along the way in our beautiful downtown district. \nTour stops can be visited in any order and beginning with any location—the tour is entirely self-guided and transported\, whether you’re driving\, walking\, or cycling your route around town!
