Find Your Summer Balance with Purposeful Boundaries (Webinar)

July 13, 2022 by Beth Leipholtz

Summer months are often filled with beautiful weather, vacations, and family games/activities, all of which lead to a higher than average amount of distraction. During this FREE online training session with Village Business Institute Trainer Tanya Fraizer, we will explore ways that employees and employers can create boundaries that will allow for you to enjoy all the fun that comes with the summer while also not increasing the feeling of guilt of this imbalance or sacrificing productivity.
In this training, we will discuss the higher-than-average need for setting clear boundaries during summer months, identify common pitfalls for weak boundaries within these months, and highlight strategies for how to establish both personal and team boundaries that create scaffolding for success.
This session is free and spaces are limited. Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/find-your-summer-balance-with-purposeful-boundaries-tickets-358486872887?aff=VillagePromo

Navigating the Balance of Work and Caring for Aging Parents (WEBINAR)

June 8, 2022 by Brad Chancellor

Though often unspoken, the weight of caring for parents as their health declines plays a significant role on life stress and naturally spills over into both work productivity and attendance. Join Village Business Institute Trainer Tanya Fraizer and representatives from the Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota-North Dakota as they explore the challenges of this process as well as supports available to both individuals in new levels of caretaking roles as well as those who employ them.

In this training, we will: discuss the realities of supporting aging family members and the tolls it takes on a person, both in their personal life as well as work life – whether someone is experiencing this now or will in the future; provide support strategies for coping with new and often unexpected realities and ways to help re-establish a new sense of balance; and identify ways in which employers, co-workers, and organizations as a whole can provide much needed support to those facing these new life roles

This free session will start at noon Central on Wednesday, June 8, and will include time for questions and answers. This webinar is part of The Business Bite, a series of lunchtime talks on topics that matter. The session is free and spaces are limited. Register via Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/navigating-the-balance-of-work-and-caring-for-aging-parents-registration-300764222887?aff=villagepromo

“I found a deeper understanding of what it means to be a servant leader after attending the Extreme Self Care RoundTable.

– Chris Brama, VP of Sales at Carousel Digital Signage

“Attending the self-care round table was eye-opening

It was astounding and showed me how fast and quick we can lose focus of our self-care.
First, how we/I live life not even aware of feelings & emotions, second, that I have not dealt with the root cause.
One of the bible verses that came to mind repeatedly was 2 Corinthians 10:5 – casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity and every thought to the obedience of Christ. The self-care roundtable brought a much-needed awareness of living life.
Thanks, Sara, for inviting me and teaching us things you have learned.
