SUMMARY:Ribbon Cutting: Leadership Alexandria Class of 2026 Class Project
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday\, July 15 at 3 pm at Fillmore Park to unveil the Leadership Alexandria class of 2026’s class project which features adaptive and accessible equipment for use at Alexandria’s new splash pad. \nLeadership Alexandria is a nine-month program that provides an opportunity for participants to develop leadership skills and learn more about the community that they are living and/or working in. At the end of each program year\, the class is responsible for brainstorming\, choosing\, and executing a community service project. The class of 2026 worked to fundraise dollars for a variety of accessibility equipment so that those of all abilities can enjoy the new Aagard Slash Pad.
