SUMMARY:2026 Fall Luncheon: Finding Your Beat\, the Rhythm of Life
DESCRIPTION:Certified Speaking Professional and retired law enforcement officer Tim Eggebraaten will speak at a community luncheon on Wednesday\, September 23 at the Broadway Ballroom Event Center in Alexandria. Everyone is welcome to attend the event\, which is hosted by the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and generously sponsored by Douglas Machine\, Inc. \nWe all face challenges that disrupt our beat when balancing family and careers and struggling to find time for our physical\, mental\, and spiritual health. With 28 years in the Criminal Justice field\, Tim is an expert at “Working the Beat\,” and now uses his experience from high-stress environments to help others reclaim balance and thrive. Through storytelling\, humor\, and music\, he offers practical strategies to navigate stress and strengthen mental and emotional well-being. Be inspired and entertained as “The Off- Duty Chief” helps you find YOUR RHYTHM! \nTim served as a police officer with the Detroit Lakes Police Department from 1992 to 2016\, holding roles including DARE Instructor\, Patrol Sergeant\, K-9 Handler\, and Chief of Police. Before that\, he worked as a correctional officer for three years. Since retiring\, Tim has shared his leadership journey\, focusing on balancing career and family while maintaining physical\, mental\, and spiritual health. His talks address personal and emotional challenges\, fostering connection and healing. Tim inspires others to embrace resilience and positivity\, showing that no one is alone in their journey toward growth and well-being. \nDoors open at 11 am. Serving begins at 11:15 am\, with the presentation taking place from 11:45 am to 1 pm. Tickets are $30 per person or $250 for a reserved table of 8. DESCRIPTION:Designed specifically for the business community\, Geometry of a Leader addresses one of today’s greatest challenges: leading effectively in difficult times. The workshop provides a focused retreat experience where participants will explore practical ways to lead with greater presence\, humility\, and courage – three foundational characteristics of impactful leadership. \nDuring the program\, attendees will learn how to be more present with the people they serve\, humble enough to seek the wisdom of others\, and courageous enough to follow their vision despite challenges. Participants will leave inspired and empowered to confidently pursue their call to lead and make a positive impact within their organizations and the broader community. \nThe workshop\, hosted by the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission in partnership with Youth Frontiers\, will be held Tuesday\, October 27\, at the Broadway Ballroom Event Center\, 115 30th Ave. E. Networking begins at 7:30 a.m. with the program running from 8 to 11:45 a.m. A light breakfast and coffee will be provided.
