Join park staff at the Lakeview Group Camp to celebrate fall with a self-guided tour of the park’s history, games, archery, demonstrations, and more. There will be something fun for the entire family.
Activities run continuously and include:
• Harvest games – apple on a string, tug of war, sack races, giant Jenga, a pile of leaves jump
• Archery in the Park (8 years of age and older)
• Dutch oven cooking
• Beekeeping—check out the live bee sample hive
• Birding— Spot migrating birds on a short guided hike
All activities are free. A $7/day ($35 annual) state park pass is required.
Want to enjoy a hike and chase the fall colors before or after the festivities? Lake Carlos State Park offers a variety of trails meandering through rolling hills, wetlands and mature hardwood forests. Take self-guided interpretive hikes through the colorful forests or Schumacher’s Slough, or enjoy the smell and colors of the sugar maples or tall grass prairie.
