Listen & Learn: Breastfeeding at Work

Returning to work after maternity leave can feel overwhelming as employees balance new responsibilities at home and on the job. One of the biggest challenges is continuing to breastfeed while working. Learn practical support options for working parents and what employers need to know at an upcoming one-hour, informative, virtual Listen & Learn event on Thursday, July 23 from 12-1 pm.
This presentation explores workplace lactation laws, the real needs of breastfeeding employees, and simple, effective ways employers can support their team. Presenter Stephanie Sigler, an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a mom of four, will share her own personal experience as a pumping mom, workaholic, and a support person for other breastfeeding families. Resources and examples of lactation spaces in the community will offer inspiration to transform your company’s breastfeeding policy.
The event is open to everyone and is free of charge. Register by visiting the Alexandria Chamber website at alexandriamn.org and look for the registration link on the main page. Listen & Learn is hosted by the Alexandria Chamber. These sessions offer information, education, support, and resources on topics that impact the community and its diverse business and organizational partners.
