Join a presentation by United Communities Advocating Non-Violence (UCAN) Alexandria to learn how we can collectively work toward a peaceful community free from abuse during a one-hour, informative, virtual Listen & Learn event on Tuesday, September 10 from 12 to 1 pm.
During this event you will hear from Heather Rondeau, Director of Research & Institutional Effectiveness at Alexandria College and UCAN President; Becky Schmitz, Executive Director of Vikingland Community Support Program and UCAN Vice President; and Susan Keehn, Crime Victim Advocate with Someplace Safe and UCAN member. Through support, awareness, education, and involvement, UCAN’s mission is to transform the community and the lives of those affected by domestic violence. The presenters will discuss topics related to domestic abuse/violence to help you understand how to support survivors, relationship dynamics and controlling behaviors, and how you can make a commitment to end domestic abuse/violence in Alexandria and surrounding communities.
The event is open to everyone and is free of charge. Register by visiting the Alexandria Chamber website at alexandriamn.org and look for the registration link on the main page.
