Join us for Apple Crisp, Ice Cream and Sorny B’s Food Truck for lunch. Along with live music by local musician, Adam Hammer. All Proceeds will go to fixing our lakeside patio. Last year, in May 2022, a severe storm swept through our community, bring with it heavy rain and tornados. During the storm, our handicap accessible walkway down to the Lakeside Patio was destroyed beyond repaid by storm water. Since then, we have been working with the Douglas County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and their engineers to create a plan to “naturalize” 500 ft. of lakeshore with native flowers and grasses. The plan includes re-using the patio pavers to create a new patio, improved water runoff management, and accessible nature trail with seating areas. This will make the lakeshore more accessible to our residents. The native flowers and grasses will create a natural filter for stormwater and runoff and enhance the area for pollinators.
