This upcoming workshop on July 12 in Alexandria is geared at family members who have a loved one struggling with addiction, or navigating early recovery. It was also created with providers in mind who may be working with families that are facing this situation.
Thrive! Family Recovery Resources, a Minnesota non-profit and Recovery Community Organization, will be hosting a workshop to provide evidence-based research on how family members can maintain loving connections and healthy boundaries when substance use is present. The focus of this 2.5 hour workshop is to equip family members with a better understanding around substance use behaviors, how to stay balanced and healthy in relationship with their loved one, and set healthy boundaries regarding all areas of wellness including emotional and physical safety.
