Several local law enforcement and community members are taking part in the Tour de Shield616 Minnesota bike ride June 19-23 to raise funds to purchase day rifle rated armor for first responders. Riders will arrive in Alexandria on Saturday, June 22 for an overnight stay. EVERYONE is encouraged to come out to give them a warm welcome. A variety of events will begin at 2 pm with riders arriving at approximately 3 pm.
The event includes:

• Culver’s Frozen Custard
• Live Remote Broadcast by KIK-FM 100.7
• Live music by Matt Hagstrom

• Patrol Car and Fire Truck on display
• Alexandria Fire Department Bounce House
• Kids’ activities provided by Cub Scouts, ArtisTree Cafe, Cardboard Cares, Safe Families for Children
As riders approach, all attendees will be encouraged to line the route and cheer them in! Bring noisemakers, signs of support and encouragement. Let’s give them a warm Alexandria welcome! All donations and proceeds from this family-friendly event will be donated to supply vests for Alexandria and Douglas County law enforcement officers!
