We use non-toxic supplies in case they get on kids skin – but we do use small items and some supplies should not be ingested, so this class is not appropriate for children who are still prone to eating art supplies.

Craig Torgerson/DeWayne Johnson Exhibit
Is it Craft or is it Art? We Think it’s both! Evansville Art Center’s June Gallery Exhibit is an eye-catching display of models built by Craig Torgerson and metal sculpture created by DeWayne Johnson.
Craig Torgerson, known as an entertainer who has performed at venues all around the area, is also a proficient and award winning model builder. In his most recent entry into a model magazine contest, Craig built a Silverado Stretch Limo that received an “Honorable Mention” and had a photo of his model in Car Modeler’s Magazine.
DeWayne Johnson is a sculptor from Garfield, whose medium is scrap steel. His interest in working with metals began in 2001 when he saw standing sculptures of flowers at a garden store. He decided to try and create a variation on the theme and this began a years-long hobby of creating in metal. His current exhibit features sculptures pf various stringed instruments a well as abstract sculptures.
This exhibit runs through June 29 and is one the whole family will enjoy viewing and talking about. Gallery hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There is no admission charge.
