FREE MN Twins Play Ball! Youth Baseball Clinic
The summer of 2024 marks the 64th year the Minnesota Twins and the Twins Community Fund, in partnership with Great River Energy, will offer FREE youth baseball and softball clinics!
Created in 1961 by longtime Twins scout, Angelo Guiliani, the clinic program serves as a way for the Minnesota Twins to promote baseball and softball to boys and girls throughout the Upper Midwest. Since the program’s inception, more than 800,000 youth have participated in a Twins youth clinic.
The Twins Community Fund Youth Clinics are designed to teach fundamentals, including hitting, throwing, and defense in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. The clinics provide instruction for boys and girls ages 6-12. The Twins provide all the necessary equipment for the clinic. Participants are asked to bring their own gloves. Event will take place at the Alexandria Area High School Softball Complex, and if there’s inclement weather it will be held at Discovery Middle School.
The Twins Community Fund Youth Clinics have always been, and will continue to be, available to participants and host communities free of charge. Registration is required to participate in a clinic – participants can register at www.playballmn.com. Funding for the Youth Clinic program is provided by the Twins Community Fund and Great River Energy.

Galentines Taboo Game
Come spend some time with your community and remember that YOU are valued and loved for yourself, and it doesn’t matter whether you are inside a relationship, seeking a relationship, or joyfully single forever.
We are going to have a blast playing games like Taboo. You can count on lots of shouting, laughing and general silliness. This first Game Time is family friendly, and you are welcome to bring your kids. We’ll keep it PG. (Check our events calendar for the 18+ Games that come right after this)
Dress code is whatever, as long as it’s appropriate for kids to see. Wear that dress you’ve had no excuse to wear all year or go pajama party style – in fact we’ll take a dollar off any purchase over $5 if you come in footie pajamas, a cosplay costume, or dressed worthy of a Royal Ball.
Don’t spend singles awareness day being sad in a wine bottle alone, come get goofy with us instead!
Learn Plywood CartoonCutouts
Learn to make cute plywood cutouts and get in some volunteer hours helping ArtisTree Community decorate our Cafe’s front yard!
No previous experience is needed, and all abilities can be useful.
Come make some art to share with every car that passes our cafe!
Come for some of the time or all of the time! We need all the help we can get to make this space as awesome as possible.
You are welcome to bring your kids, we love cross generational community. There will be power tools and paint smells in the vicinity and we are not providing babysitters. You know your kids best, whether you can safely supervise them and whether they will have fun at this kind of event.
No ticket is needed, but it is SUPER helpful if you can RSVP on the linked Facebook Event page so we can get a general idea of how many people are coming.
