Braintree Academy – Free Event for Families!

Considering having your children learn from home? Join us at our free field trips for At-Home Learners! We will be in Alexandria on June 1.

Braintree is now registering students in Minnesota and we are celebrating with free events around the State of Minnesota! Come meet Braintree Academy and discover a different kind of tuition-free virtual public school. Unlike traditional online schools, Braintree partners with families to create a more personalized learning experience, giving parents more voice and choice in how their children learn, while still providing strong educational support.

Family Fun Fridays: Foam Party

Looking for a fun FREE activity for kids on a hot summer evening? Come on over to Lake Community Church and let them play in a yard covered in foam from a foam machine! The evening will be split up by age, with elementary-aged kids playing for the first hour and middle and high school kids occupying the second hour of the evening. There will be a separate play area for toddlers and preschool age children.

Wear a swimsuit or clothes that you don’t mind getting sloppy and bring a towel! Light concessions will be available for purchase.

Family Fun Fridays: Outdoor Movie Night (Zootopia 2)

Come join us for a FREE movie on the lawn at Lake Community Church! We will be showing Zootopia 2, which reunites rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde for a high-stakes new case when a mysterious reptile disrupts the city. Their investigation takes them undercover into uncharted areas of Zootopia, testing their partnership and introducing fresh species and challenges.

Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and some bug spray! Light concessions will be available for purchase. In the event of rain, the movie will be moved indoors!
