Artist Talk: Landscapes and Abstracts by Calvin DeRuyter & Fused Glass by Rhea Northington

The Alexandria Art Guild, in collaboration with Ida Graves Distillery, presents an exhibition featuring landscapes and abstract paintings by Calvin DeRuyter and fused glass artwork by Rhea Northington.

DeRuyter’s work spans expressive landscapes and non-objective abstract paintings, while Northington’s fused glass pieces showcase color, texture and craftsmanship in a unique medium.

Join Calvin DeRuyter and Rhea Northington for a free artist talk on Sunday, September 6, at 5 p.m. at Ida Graves Distillery. Guests will have the opportunity to hear about the artists’ creative process, ask questions and learn more about the work featured in the exhibition.

Artist Talk: Impressionist Landscapes by Stephen Henning, Mixed Media by Jackie Henning & Baskets by Mary Smith

The Alexandria Art Guild, in collaboration with Ida Graves Distillery, presents an exhibition featuring impressionist landscapes by Stephen Henning, mixed-media artwork by Jackie Henning, and handcrafted baskets and cartonnage by Mary Smith.

The exhibit showcases three distinct artistic styles, from impressionist paintings inspired by the landscape to mixed-media works and traditional basketry and cartonnage.

Join Stephen Henning, Jackie Henning and Mary Smith for a free artist talk on Sunday, August 2, at 5 p.m. at Ida Graves Distillery. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artists, learn about their creative process, ask questions and hear the stories behind the work featured in the exhibition.

Artist Talk: Fiber Art by Kristi Kuder & Ceramics by John Shaw

The Alexandria Art Guild, in collaboration with Ida Graves Distillery, presents a joint exhibition featuring artists Kristi Kuder and John Shaw.

The exhibition features ceramic wall pieces, functional vessels and whimsical ceramic and glass sculptures by Shaw, alongside Kuder’s cyanotype and eco-printed works created from local botanicals, as well as sculptural pieces incorporating wire mesh.
