Looking for an unforgettable outdoor experience? Join us for a candlelit and moonlit evening in the park. Take a stroll along the trail, guided by the glow of the moon, candles, and lanterns. Afterward, cozy up by the wood stove or enjoy delicious snacks and refreshments at the Lakeview Warming Shelter.
This free event is perfect for nature lovers and families seeking a unique night out. Please note: a Minnesota state parks vehicle permit is required for entry ($7/day or $35/year).

SAVE TIME! Get your vehicle permit in advance. Visit mndnr.gov/reservations, log in (or create an account), click on “entry permit,” select a duration of “one-day” ($7) or “year-round” ($35), and continue as directed. You’ll receive an email with a permit that can be printed and displayed in your vehicle during your visit.

Bring your whole family out to the Northstar Sports Complex on New Year’s Eve (Dec 31st) from 5pm-8pm for an evening of fun brought to you by Safe Families for Children. Ring in the new year in style with ice skating, pizza, bouncing house, spike ball, 9 square, board games, crafts, face painting, and a toddler play area. Take a fun photo in the photo booth and dance with the live DJ. Pizza, drinks, and snacks will be on hand to keep you fueled for the activities.
