Family Day

Legacy of the Lakes Museum’s annual Family Day, free and open to the public! Family Day activities run from 1-4 pm throughout the museum and Legacy Gardens. They’ve added more fun than ever before to this year’s Family Day.

-More kid’s activities from the museum and other local organizations
-Demonstrations & Crafts
-Face Painting
-Free Kid’s concert from the Bazillions (3 pm)
-Free Museum Admission (12-4 pm)

We’ll be serving up $5 Hot Dog Baskets all day, plus we’ll have free popcorn and ice cream treats.

Sunday Music

Sunday, May 3, from 2-4 dance to the music of Julie Lee Duo. Put on your dancing shoes and join us for some fun! Julie provides entertainment for all ages. With harmonies and instrumentation, Julie entertains you with 40’s, 50’s old-time and country music. Julie Lee has played all over the midwest and around the country. Refreshments, popcorn and snacks are available for purchase. The music is sponsored by Sanford Health. Join us at ENCORE!, 414 Hawthorne Street, Alexandria. Suggested donation is $5.

Music in the Gardens: The Honeydogs

We’re pleased to welcome the Honeydogs to the Legacy Gardens to kick off our 2026 Music in the Gardens concert series!

The story of the Honeydogs begins in Minneapolis in the early 1990’s with two combative yet musically harmonious brothers, songwriter/guitarist Adam and drummer Noah Levy who wanted a band in which their favorite music-soul, American roots music, British pop, and punk–could coexist.

Gates open at 5:30 pm. The Museum’s North Gallery will be open for viewing and there will be food and beverages on site for purchase (no outside food or beverages please). Music starts at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $15-$25 ($10-$20 museum members).
